Programme Curriculum

This 12-week programme spans eight modules and takes you from understanding digital disruption to evaluating emerging technologies, managing cyber risk and leading transformation with the strategic clarity, resilience and stakeholder trust needed to create lasting value.

  • You’ll be introduced to the course themes, structure and the digital portfolio that supports your reflection and application. You’ll assess your current confidence across key digital and cyber leadership areas and begin connecting the course content to your own organisational context.

  • You’ll explore the difference between digital disruption and digital transformation. Using case examples, you’ll analyse how digital change impacts organisations, assess risks and benefits for stakeholders and begin developing a transformation idea relevant to your work.

  • You’ll critically assess emerging technologies such as AI, IoT and cloud computing using frameworks like the Gartner Hype Cycle. You’ll evaluate which technologies offer real value and which are overhyped and how to make evidence-based decisions about adoption.

  • You'll explore the Seven Levers for Successful Transformation framework. Drawing on Oxford research and practical case studies, you’ll learn how to lead implementation with strategic clarity, stakeholder alignment and communication strategies that foster adaptability and trust.

  • You’ll investigate the cyber risks associated with digital transformation. You’ll identify assets at risk, assess vulnerabilities and apply key cyber security principles—such as the CIA triad—to strengthen organisational resilience and develop a cyber-aware mindset.

  • You’ll examine how to lead through cyber resilience, aligning cyber security with business goals, risk appetite and reputational priorities. You’ll explore frameworks for assessing cyber risk, managing AI threats and communicating cyber security priorities to boards and senior leaders.

  • The project involves TransGlobe Logistics (TGL), a global transport and supply-chain company, which is experiencing operational inefficiencies, cyber threats and resistance to automation. You will take on the role of consultants to design and lead a digital integration strategy, culminating in a professional report of 1,200–1,500 words.

  • This covers reflection and next steps, including guidance for continued learning along with a bibliography and a ‘Where Are You Now?’ checklist.

Demand For Programme

Digital transformation is no longer a strategic option. It is the defining economic shift of our time. The global digital transformation market is projected to reach $5 trillion by 2030, and Europe alone is expected to reach $745 billion by 2026 - spanning every sector from financial services and healthcare to manufacturing and retail. Yet scale alone does not guarantee success. 63% of executives believe their workforce is unprepared for the technology changes ahead, and organisations led by capable transformation leaders are 2.3 times more likely to succeed.

As organisations accelerate their digital ambitions, the risks that accompany them are escalating in equal measure. Whilst 64% of organisations report meeting their minimum cyber resilience requirements, only 19% claim to exceed them. Boards are under growing pressure to strengthen digital resilience, with cybersecurity and crisis response. The leaders who will define the next decade are those who can drive transformation boldly and manage its risks strategically. This programme equips you to be one of them.
